What is the difference between impact measurement and evaluation?
Impact measurement focuses on what has changed for people or communities as a result of a programme or initiative. Evaluation looks more broadly at how something was delivered, what worked, what didn’t, and why.
When should we start thinking about evaluation?
Ideally, at the planning stage. Building evaluation in from the start helps you define success, collect the right data, and learn as you go. But it’s never too late to reflect on what you’ve done and what it achieved.
Can you evaluate a programme that’s already underway or completed?
Yes. We can step in at any point, whether that’s a mid-point review, end-of-project evaluation, or a longer-term impact assessment. We’ll work with whatever data you have and identify what else is needed.
How do you make evaluation useful, not just a tick-box exercise?
We work closely with you to shape questions that matter, and we report in plain language with practical recommendations. Our aim is to help you learn, improve, and tell a clear story about your impact.
What types of evaluation methods do you use?
We use both qualitative and quantitative methods, including in-person interviews, surveys, data analysis, case studies, and more, depending on your goals, audience, and what stage your programme is at.
